Farewell to Utah and the Trek Home

Sunday morning we enjoyed going to Sacrament meeting with Matt and Jessica's family.  We then took our kids over to Temple Square to experience the amazing Church History Museum.  The children's area was so fun!
Getting our Mexican dancing skills on!
Some of our favorite friends that moved to Utah several years ago drove up to meet us for a few hours.  It has been a loooong time since our kids have seen each other.
We sure love the Searle Family!!  Thanks for making the trek up to visit us!
Sunday Morning Temple Square

Our final stop before heading home was at Birch's sister Tavia's home.  We were so lucky to meet baby Eliza and do a quick photoshoot of this sweet pea.  We always feel so loved when we are in the Kimball home.  Tavia and Vaughn are excellent parents and their kids are a lot of fun to be around.

The drive home went by smoothly.  This Surprise Kick-off The Summer trip will probably not be beat!  It was truly memorable as we experienced so many of God's creations and got the privilege of spending time with so much family!

Next Stop SLC...and Chloe's Spectacular 6th Birthday

We pulled into my brother's home Friday late afternoon.  Matt and Jessica planned the perfect weekend for our family!
Lots of swimming at the neighborhood pool!
Nate has got some amazing flipping skills!
Alex chumming with his Aunt and Uncle.
The next morning was Chloe's 6th Birthday!

City Creek
Matt and Jessica had organized a SUPER fun activity for all of us at temple square.  We all broke up in teams of three or four and did a scavenger hunt all throughout temple square.  SO FUN!!!  Check out this link for "kit."
Sofi and Chloe were on our team and honestly they were our secret weapon.  They were so observant where Birch and I were reading the "hints" they were just looking.  So fun to get to know Sofi a little better too.
After awhile Lizzie spied us and wanted to join our team.  This girl is a nut!
Birch's brother and wife, Andrew and Jenna joined us for the day of fun.
Then we all went to the City Creek Mall food court and had lunch.  It was a perfect spot for everyone to pick something yummy for lunch.  Chloe picked McDonalds for her birthday lunch.
Coop, Lizzie, and me
Jessica made these cute cupcakes for Chloe's birthday and we all enjoyed them while going back for an afternoon swim at the neighborhood pool.  I love this "wishing" picture.
Then Uncle Matt strapped on his GO-PRO to the boys and they were in heaven!

Lizzie LOVES Tyler!

Uncle Matt created an awesome video of the kids!  Click here is you cannot see the video:

Then we hopped in the car and headed to Midway, UT to the Homestead Resort for the evening concert and dinner.  I fell in love with the Homestead--I will return someday for a romantic get-a-way.

We LOVED our time with the Sherry family!  Matt and Jessica are a perfect combo together!
Chloe opened her present from us while listening to the outdoor concert.  I love this series of photos cause you can see the PURE JOY in Chloe's face.  Feels good to get it right sometimes!!!

So happy this cute girl is part of our family!  Love this girl!!!

Kanarraville Falls Adventure and the Sad Goodbye

The next morning the kids had a blast riding four wheelers around the cabin in Cedar City.
Life doesn't get much better for Cooper.
Chloe and Brooke went out for a spin.
Colin, Birch and Abbey went for a crazy ride.
Coop practicing his archery skills.
Then it was off to Kanarraville Falls just south of Cedar City.  This seriously ended up being our favorite hike we did while in Southern Utah.
The beginning section was long and hot...and we may have gripped a bit.

As soon as we hit the water life perked up for us all.  Chloe was such a good little hiker!

Seriously how cool is this!
There were several "challenges" on this hike.  Kaleb was such a good helper to the younger kids.
Isn't this awesome!
Alysee was a GREAT hiker!
Looks at Chloe scamper!
The second waterfall had a fun little waterslide the kids loved!

Such awesome kids!!!  Breaks my heart that they don't get to see each other as often as they used to.

Birch and Alex went on a little farther to check out what was beyond the "waterslide."  It was starting to get late so the rest of us started to head back.

We finished off the night with a Cox Family Photoshoot down at Southern Utah Unversity's campus.
The following morning none of us wanted to leave each others sides.  We had the perfect time together!!!
