The Gap2Gap is a dreaded yet WONDERFUL event each year!! Mostly dreaded because there is always so much drama into the team names, what event each person will compete in, what will the team where, etc... And honestly the day itself is a bit stressful with getting everyone where they should be at the right time while cheering for the rest of the kids as well. It's certainly getting way easier as the kids get older which is sad as well since they age out after age fourteen.
This year Tyler and Alysee were taking the SAT during the exact time of the Gap2Gap so we were short some of our cheerleaders. Nate was first up to compete. He decided to do the IronMan competition because this is his last year and honestly because he is always wanting to stretch himself and work really hard. He did a little bit of training prior to the race but not too much as he was so busy with track and school.
Nate named himself - Speedy Gonzales....and boy was he!!

It makes me sad that we only have two more kids that can participate next year. I love the great community atmosphere and the chance the kids each get to push themselves and accomplish something hard!!
